The Chickasha Municipal Airport, an important hub of activity for the City, has four hangars, one 5,101-foot concrete runway, and two shorter turf runways. To help visitors access our City, the Airport provides two courtesy cars for guests to use. The Chickasha Municipal Airport is utilized by both aviation enthusiasts and businesses. Being centrally located in the United States, it is an ideal stopover for those making cross-country trips or visiting our area. Many well-known business executives and celebrities have visited our Airport throughout the years. One business operates full-time out of the airport, providing flight training and aircraft maintenance.
Through the addition of an airport tug in 2018, ground crews are able to tow jets for fueling. This increases the airport's ability to handle small, corporate jet traffic.
Road Reconstruction Project
The road reconstruction project, pictured below, was completed in March 2017. The $408,000 asphalt road with concrete edges was 90% funded by the FAA Airport Improvement Program and 10% funded by the Chickasha Municipal Airport Authority.
