Subject: Flood Insurance Rate Map Zone Determinations
Although the lender makes the final determination, the City of Chickasha can provide you with Flood Insurance Rate Map information useful in making flood zone determinations for any particular property within the City. As a public service, the City of Chickasha will provide you with the following information upon request:
Whether a property is in or out of the Special Flood Hazard Area as shown on the current Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM) of the City.
Additional flood insurance data for a site, such as the FIRM zone and the base flood elevation or depth, if shown on the FIRM.
Copy of Elevation Certificates and LOMC information. Elevation Certificates can be reviewed on the City website.
A handout on the flood insurance purchase requirements to assist people who need a mortgage or loan for a property in the Special Flood Hazard Area.
When contacting the City’s Emergency Management Director to obtain flood zone information, please be prepared to provide the street address and the Assessor’s Parcel Number. The Emergency Management Office hours are from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., week days, or you can call (405) 222-6000 for assistance.
