CITY CLERK

The City Clerk is appointed by and reports directly to the City Manager.  The City Clerk's Office is the "hub" of City Government.  The City Clerk is the custodian of all records belonging to the City.  Responsibilities include attending and keeping a complete record of the proceedings at each City Council Meeting, issuing cemetery deeds and licenses.  The City Clerk's Office is responsible for preparing payroll for approximately 165 employees, accounts payable, daily deposits, Workers' Compensation claims and utility bills for approximately 7,000 customers.

CITY CLERK'S OFFICE

The City Clerk's Office is located in City Hall.  Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Customer service is a high priority in the City Clerk's Office and the staff is available to answer questions and provide information.
